19 Angel

Angel Delgadillo is the legend of the town Seligman and the Route 66. I saw him on Travel Channel when Henry Cole visited him with his show Greatest motorcycle rides. I decided to visit him too. He has a barbershop and a memorabilia shop on the main road and he lives there with his family. I got a shave on the barber chair his father, the self thought barber, bought for 140$ in 1924. Angel went to barber college. He is  funny and friendly. You can see that he does this from his heart. I felt like at home. He also styled my hair. Great experience!

We also met a Bosnian man Meho, who drives a truck and makes lots of money. He bought a house for his mother and he likes the American style of living. We talked for a while and went on to Kingman and Oatman, where we left the 66 to go north to Vegas.

18 Navajo

LUKA

Navajo people have a reservation in Monument Valley. 13 families live here. They dont have electricity or running water. They choose not to. This is their sacred land, with long history. The reservation is open for public for 5 dollars a day. You can drive inside on designated roads. We took a 1 hour horseback ride and slept on their land for 20 dollars. You can also sleep on the entrance in the Overview hotel for 200 per room. The view is just breathtaking and you have to know that in the morning the sun shines from the east and in the evening from the west. As in every destination you travel to visit, so make a time plan if you want to take special pictures. The rock monuments are of red sand rock and the horses are wild or tamed Mustangs.

We arrived to Grand Canyon's southern rim in the afternoon and just took some pictures. There are lots of things to do from mule riding, hiking, helicopter flights and boat or raft rides. They can last to 14 days and cost a lot. We had such a good time in Monument Valley, that when we reached the Grand Canyon, it was good enough just to see the view from few spots and drive on.

Arches national park is great. We spent there like 5 hours and seen everything. There's a camp inside to book in advance. The desert sun is a killer. I think I'd last 2 days without water. Maybe less. You get a sunburn when you get out of the car. If you forget your water you have 30 min till total mouth dryness. Wear shoes because hot stone is hot. We caught a storm at dusk and opened our car to get inside. We still have 5 pounds of sand. Great experience. I mean it probably depends on which park you get too se first. This is the first one we've seen. On four corners of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona is the park area where you can see thousands of sights from Grand Canyon to Antilopes Canyon.
