21 Death Valley

119 degrees F - 48 degrees C. Hot like in a sauna. The air that you breathe out cools you. You feel you are cooking on the sun. Colorful landscapes, no trees, no grass, elevation level 130 feet under the sea. This valley was formed, when two tectonic plates moved together and then apart again. So its level dropped to under sea level. There is one motel and is pretty full. I think humans are the only animals out here. We saw a coyote on the other side outside, when we were driving at night.
